As we say goodbye to our 2024 Summer Associates, we want to extend a big thank you to this amazing group—one of our brightest yet! Their fresh ideas, incredible enthusiasm, and unwavering commitment to their work this summer has truly left a mark on Fennemore.
While they head back to law school, we can’t help but look back on their journey with us. These outstanding individuals have already made a significant impact on our firm, and we know the best is yet to come. I have truly enjoyed my experience at Fennemore this summer! Going into my first internship, I was worried that I would feel behind, but the Fennemore team was so accommodating and helpful that I never felt that way. In choosing a firm, I really wanted to work somewhere that people enjoyed coming to work everyday and loved the work that they do, so Fennemore was the perfect choice! Most of all, I have loved the work! I loved the opportunity to come in every day and jump into a new project that would challenge me and give me the opportunity to learn something new. I am so excited to carry what I’ve learned this summer into my 2L year in the fall!

My summer at Fennemore has been amazing. The positive work culture, strong business mindset, and lovely people here are unique to Fennemore and are exactly what I was looking for at a firm. Directors trusted me to do real attorney work at a very high level, which allowed me to put all my previous experience to use while also sharpening my research and writing skills. I felt valued because everyone was so supportive and truly wanted me to succeed.
I met and worked with many different attorneys in San Diego and in Fennemore’s other offices across the country. This was only possible due to Fennemore’s forward-looking perspective on the future of work, and it opened so many opportunities I would not have had otherwise. Overall, I am very happy with the experience and the connections I made, and I would love to build a career at Fennemore.

My time as a summer associate at Fennemore has been incredibly enriching. I have not only had the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects in both transactional law and litigation, but have also been able to attend practical training opportunities such as court hearings and arbitrations during my time in the summer program.
Beyond the substantive work, Fennemore fosters an environment to meet people across the firm and form so many awesome connections. Everyone at the firm, whether a director or first-year associate or staff, truly wants each summer associate to succeed, and I felt that network of support throughout the entire summer.

The Summer Associate program at Fennemore was an amazing experience. I had the privilege of working alongside incredibly talented attorneys who are also exceptionally “human.” Each one was friendly, welcoming, and truly embodied the Firm’s culture of authenticity. Their willingness to share knowledge and guidance, or to simply have a beer and a casual chat with the summer associates, made every single day of the program rewarding.
The Firm also ensured I received valuable and applicable feedback on each of the projects I worked on, helping me develop my legal research and writing skills. I leave being grateful for having been part of the Fennemore team and with new friendships that I will cherish. My summer program experience at Fennemore has been exceptionally valuable and enriching. To start, all the projects I was assigned to have been both interesting and educational. The assigning attorneys and my reader provided me with valuable feedbacks that have enhanced my writing and analytical skills beyond what I learned in law school. Additionally, the practical training opportunities, such as attending depositions and oral arguments, have given me a clear understanding of the practice of law.
Everyone I have encountered, from the attorneys to the staff members, has been incredibly caring, helpful, kind, and welcoming. The genuine interest everyone here has shown in helping us grow and getting to know us personally has been truly heartening. The collaborative and supportive atmosphere at the firm helped me grow professionally and personally. Moreover, the mentorship and the guidance provided by attorneys at the firm have helped me feel better prepared as I enter my 2L year. As a returning summer associate, I can confidently say that the learning opportunities at Fennemore are endless, and the inviting culture is unchanging. I had a great summer reconnecting with the talented attorneys I met last year while still having the opportunity to meet and work with attorneys across our offices. I am grateful to have worked on a variety of projects, each of which challenged me but were incredibly valuable learning experiences. Most importantly, I felt like a valued member of the team.

I have loved my time at Fennemore, and for the second summer, the Summer Associate Program has highlighted the benefits of working for such an innovative firm. I have had the chance to expand my legal mind while working with attorneys across Fennemore’s ever expanding network. From the attorneys in my office all the way to the Management team, I felt supported and pushed to grow as an aspiring attorney and a man. My summer at Fennemore Craig was absolutely incredible. I always felt like I belonged, and that I was truly valued as a person by everyone here in the Las Vegas office. Every project I worked on provided me with invaluable legal writing and research experience, and allowed me to meet and get to know so many amazing and talented attorneys. I was able to work on projects regarding vastly different areas of law, which translated to learning and working on something new almost every day. Additionally, the mentorship and reader program, apart from providing useful feedback, gave me the opportunity to hear amazing advice and information about life as a Fennemore attorney specifically, and life as a lawyer generally. I know these connections, this experience and newfound knowledge will serve me well as I enter my 2L year!
