Patricia Curtin Named a Most Influential Woman in Business

OAKLAND, Calif., May 12, 2015 – Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean LLP congratulates Partner Patricia Curtin on being selected as one of the San Francisco Business Times’ 2015 “Most Influential Women in Business.” This prestigious honor recognizes outstanding female professionals who make a difference in their companies, industries and communities. Curtin was profiled in a special supplement to the publication and will be honored at a dinner and awards ceremony on June 4.

The newest member of Wendel Rosen’s three-person Management Committee, Curtin specializes in land use and local government law, representing both private and public sector clients. Curtin works with landowners and developers of commercial, industrial, residential and agricultural property, including wine growers, wineries and related businesses; shopping center owners; hotel/resort owners; educational institutions; and hospitals and other medical facilities. She represents several public agencies as special land use counsel and is general counsel to 12 Geologic Hazard Abatement Districts. Curtin lectures and writes extensively in the areas of land use and local government law and is a co-author of a national publication, State & Local Government Land Use Liability, which she updates annually.

Active within her industry and the community, Curtin serves as Planning Commissioner for the City of Lafayette, on the Board of Directors of HomeAid Northern California, is a founding board member and secretary of the California Association of Geological Hazard Abatement Districts, and is a member of East Bay Commercial Real Estate Women and the League of California Cities. She was also a founding member of the Special Education Enrichment Development Network in Lafayette and is a board member of Dreamcatchers Empowerment Network, a non-profit providing support for mental and physically disabled adults.

Curtin earned her J.D. from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law (1987) and her B.A. from California State University, Chico (1984).
