Erik Olson

Erik Olson is an associate attorney in Fennemore’s Business & Finance practice group. He works with a broad array of corporate clients on matters related to mergers and acquisitions, drafting commercial agreements and protecting intellectual property assets.

Erik earned his bachelor’s degree in molecular biosciences and biotechnology and a master’s degree in molecular and cellular biology. Prior to graduating from law school, he worked as a researcher designing and executing experiments, evaluating prior research, and creating new methods of scientific discovery. For his thesis, he also worked to generate complex data models and collaborated with lab members to identify genetic mutations which contribute to liver cancer.

Erik earned his law degree from Cornell Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude. He worked on the executive board of the Legal Information Institute and was a general editor of the Cornell international law journal. For practical experience, Erik worked in the Securities Law clinic, where he helped local investors bring arbitration cases against banks and brokerage firms.
