Zack Wasserman Comments on Oakland A’s Stadium Development
In the San Francisco Business Times article “A’s try to win at Oakland stadium game,” Partner Zack Wasserman looks at the recent developments affecting the construction of a new stadium for the Oakland A’s. However, the team must first finalize a deal with the City of Oakland and Alameda County to buy the Coliseum site and generate a proposal that maximizes the potential of the site.
Zack offers his thoughts on potential redevelopment of the site. The Coliseum takes up a lot of space that Zack says could be otherwise developed, and he asks, “with that additional space, what can you do to attract people?” He theorizes that the land could possibly attract a tech campus or a housing, hotel and retail space, which would help create jobs and proffer a large economic impact.
